About IC Containers.

IC Containers is a company that specialise in the supply of new and used shipping containers for sale, hire & conversion across the UK.


Founded by Stephen Collins & Josh Ingledew, they have both been in the container industry most of their working lives and have over 25 years combined experience behind them.


IC Containers stock sizes from 6ft to 45ft and offer all equipment types, allowing us to provide top quality shipping containers to a large range of sectors.


Operating from over 10 strategically placed depots nationwide, we work with a large haulage network to ensure our customers receive their containers at the most competitive prices.

Stephen Collins.

Stephen has been in the container industry since 2003, joining a local container trader as a sales admin apprentice soon after leaving school.


He began to develop a real passion for sales over the years that followed and worked his way to Sales Manager in 2014 before leaving the company in 2020, some 17 years later.

I was responsible for dealing with all the sales leads and orders, organising transport to depots and customers, as well as the procurement of the shipping containers across Europe and Asia.


This has all been fundamental in developing my industry knowledge and skillsets, and has allowed me to form the strong relationships with customers and suppliers that I have today"

He progressed his career and joined another container trader during the pandemic in 2020 as Sales Manager and was promoted to Sales Director a year later. He was instrumental in the companies year on year growth, before taking the decision to leave in 2023 and start his own venture. 


Stephen has supplied hundreds of self-storage companies over the years, helping some grow into industry leading multisite operators, as well as importing shipping containers on a large from China for some of the leading plant hire & rental companies in the UK

Josh Ingledew.

Josh has been in the container industry since 2016, joining a family-run container trader as a trainee accountant.


Shortly after in 2017, he was given the opportunity to broaden his job role into a financial stock controller. This was when he realised he had a real passion for the container industry.


In 2021, his career further progressed into the role of strategic buyer. He was responsible for sourcing and procuring over 1500 containers a month. Working closely with the sales team and providing essential updates on a regular basis, Josh proved to be a fundamental part of the team.


Josh has built lasting relationships with key suppliers over the years, allowing him to source the best quality containers at the most affordable prices.

"The financial side of things was really just the tip of the iceberg for me. After a promotion in 2017, I really started to dig deeper into the procurement and operational side of the business.
